UniNano Advanced Materials Attending the Conference on Propagation of National Standard for Nanoporous Aerogel

  • On May 16, 2018, the Seminar on Standard Propagation and Application Technology of Inorganic Insulation Materials for Industry Use was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, a city reputed as “Paradise on Earth” with beautiful scenery. The conference was hosted by the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Thermal Insulation Materials and the Thermal Insulation Materials Branch of Chinese Ceramic Society, organized by Depamu (Hangzhou) Pumps Technology Co., Ltd., and co-organized by National Quality Supervision and Inspection Center for Glass Fiber Products. As a co-editor of the national standard GB/T34336 Reinforced Nanoporous Aerogel Products for Thermal Insulation, UniNano Advanced Materials Co., Ltd. was invited to attend this meeting.

    In May when everything is growing and thriving, more than 160 representatives from material manufacturers, testing organizations and application fields such as petrochemical, metallurgy, electric power, energy conservation and environmental protection gathered to propagandize and interpret the national standards for inorganic insulation materials, discuss and exchange their application and development, and jointly promote the healthy and sustainable development of China’s thermal insulation materials in the industrial field.

    Wang Jiaqing, Secretary General of the Thermal Insulation Materials Branch of Chinese Ceramic Society and Director of National Quality Supervision and Inspection Center for Glass Fiber Products, presided over the meeting. At the meeting, Cui Jun, Director of Nanjing Fiberglass Research & Design Institute, gave a detailed interpretation and Q&A on the new national standard GB/T34336 Reinforced Nanoporous Aerogel Products for Thermal Insulation in terms of performance index, production process, industry status, product application and standard formulation, etc. respectively.

    In addition to the national standard GB/T34336 Reinforced Nanoporous Aerogel Products for Thermal Insulation, the standard propagation at this meeting interpreted other national standards. It unified the understanding of manufacturers, users, design departments and testing organizations on the new performance requirements and test methods for thermal insulation materials, which is conducive to improving the quality of various thermal insulation materials, standardizing and guiding the healthy competition in the market, and promoting healthy, orderly and rapid development of the inorganic insulation materials industry.
