UniNano Advanced Materials Claims the Championship in the UN's Industrial Manufacturing Carbon Neutrality Sector, with Mesoporous Technology Leading the Way in Green Global Expansion!

On September 29, 2025, the 4th Carbon Neutrality Technology Solution Solicitation and Evaluation Conference, hosted by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), concluded in Shanghai. Shanghai Youna New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Youna New Materials") stood out from fierce competition in the carbon neutrality field of industrial manufacturing and claimed the top prize with its "economical and energy-efficient mesoporous thermal insulation material solution."
More than a month later, on November 6, as a supporting event of the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) Shanghai Conference, the forum themed "Openness · Innovation · Future — Cutting-edge Technology and Cross-border Investment Opportunities" was held in Hongqiao. Luan Yucheng, Chairman of Youna New Materials, was invited to attend the roundtable dialogue on "Global Cooperation in Green and Sustainable Industries," where he shared the low-carbon value of mesoporous materials and industrial implementation experience with global guests. This achievement marked a dual breakthrough of "technological championship + high-end voice."

On September 29, the evaluation conference, themed "UN IDDI Initiative Empowers Enterprises' Green Global Expansion," gathered over 50 representatives from international organizations, governments, research institutions, and enterprises, with 12 technologies showcased in roadshows. The expert review panel boasted a distinguished lineup, including authoritative figures such as Zhou Yiping, former Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for South-South Cooperation, Zhang Jun, Chief Economist of China Galaxy Securities, and Qin Hongbo, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Energy Efficiency Center. After four hours of rigorous evaluation, Youna New Materials' mesoporous thermal insulation material solution, leveraging its core advantage of "economic efficiency and energy conservation," stood out from strong competitors such as BYD's 5th-generation DM hybrid technology and industrial full-domain thermal control systems, successfully seizing the top prize in the carbon neutrality field of industrial manufacturing.

On November 6, the supporting forum of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) was co-hosted by the Investment and Technology Promotion Office & Division of Institutional Partnerships of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the China International Association for Promotion of Science and Technology (CIAPST), and organized by the UNIDO Investment and Technology Promotion Office (Shanghai, China) (UNIDO Shanghai ITPO) and the Sustainable Development Working Committee of CIAPST.
Centered on the theme of "Breaking Through Dilemmas for Symbiosis, Fostering Resilient Growth," the forum took cutting-edge technology and cross-border investment as dual pillars. Focusing on key directions including technological globalization, ESG sustainable development, and industrial application of artificial intelligence, it organized high-level dialogues and exchanges to discuss topics such as "Cutting-edge Technology: Breaking Through Dilemmas for Symbiosis" and "Cross-border Investment: Fostering Resilient Growth." The forum gathered over 100 guests from the UN system, national science and technology promotion institutions, leading Chinese and foreign enterprises, academic circles, and international SME alliances. Opening remarks were delivered by Luo Mei Shu, Director of the Investment and Technology Promotion Office & Division of Institutional Partnerships of UNIDO, Duan Miyì, President of CIAPST, Li Shuyin, Deputy Director of the China International Economic and Technical Exchange Center of the Ministry of Commerce, and Barbara Tronzi, President of the World Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (WUSME) and President of the San Marino-China Friendship Association.
In the roundtable dialogue themed "Global Cooperation in Green and Sustainable Industries," hosted by Zhao Xiaolei, Director of UNIDO Shanghai ITPO, Chairman Luan Yucheng, as a representative of a technological benchmark enterprise in the industrial decarbonization field, shared Youna New Materials' innovative practices with global guests. He highlighted the unique advantage of mesoporous materials in "negative-cost" carbon emission reduction — stating: "Industrial thermal energy accounts for 20% of global energy consumption, yet high-temperature heat loss remains one of the links with low efficiency and high carbon emissions. To achieve carbon neutrality, relying solely on energy substitution would require continuous investment of approximately 3% of GDP over more than 20 years. In contrast, technologies that are both economical and energy-efficient represent a certain and immediate path at the current stage. Mesoporous thermal insulation technology now has the potential for global promotion because Youna has solved three major challenges that have constrained the industrialization of mesoporous materials over the past 30 years — low cost, green preparation, and large-scale stability. By innovating the template system and synthesis mechanism, Youna has realized an atmospheric-pressure aqueous production line that is both environmentally friendly and economical, bringing mesoporous thermal insulation materials from the laboratory to the factory floor. We have over 500 application cases nationwide. Our single-line production capacity can reach 20,000 cubic meters, with an energy-saving rate exceeding 30%. While maintaining a cost comparable to traditional materials, it still achieves negative-cost carbon emission reduction (-450 RMB/ton). This means energy conservation is no longer a cost burden but an economic gain."
Meanwhile, when discussing the current challenges, Chairman Luan stated: "Like all innovative technologies, our major challenge lies in the barriers of cognition and standards. Mesoporous thermal insulation materials require testing not only across different countries but also among different enterprises within the same industry. Therefore, the establishment of demonstration centers will accelerate the promotion of this energy-saving and innovative technology."

These consecutive honors and the invitation to the roundtable dialogue represent UNIDO's high recognition of Youna New Materials' green technology strength and industrial value. More notably, our company has officially received a sincere invitation from the organizers to participate in the "21st Session of the UNIDO General Conference (GC21) and the 2025 Global Industry Summit (November 23-27)" as a member of the Shanghai delegation. The event will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. On this global stage, we will showcase the innovative achievements of China's mesoporous thermal insulation material technology, discuss green industry cooperation with partners from all countries, and contribute to the "going global" of China's green technologies in participating in global climate governance.

From winning the top prize at the UN evaluation conference to contributing insights at the CIIE roundtable, and now being invited to the GC21 Global Industry Summit, Youna New Materials is soaring toward the global carbon neutrality stage with technological innovation as its wings. Dr. Luan Yucheng, Founder of the company, stated: "The challenges in promoting new technologies lie in standards and cognition, but the opportunities lie in consensus and cooperation. As long as the world is seeking economical solutions for carbon reduction and carbon neutrality, we share a common language — efficiency, green development, and shared benefits." Looking ahead, Youna New Materials will continue to deepen its presence in the field of energy-saving new materials, foster new quality productive forces through technological innovation, and demonstrate the responsibility and commitment of Chinese enterprises in the global journey toward carbon neutrality.
